The Meadows: Access Update

๐“๐ก๐ž ๐Œ๐ž๐š๐๐จ๐ฐ๐ฌ ๐”๐ฉ๐๐š๐ญ๐ž

Following on from a month of difficult weather conditions, unfortunately the paths will not re-open on 30 November as previously hoped. The north path will re-open by Christmas, weather permitting, and earlier if possible.

Part of the delay has been due to changing temperatures effecting the compaction of the surfacing. Access to some parts of the site in the larger plant machinery has not been possible, due to the impact on the soft ground, thus progress has involved smaller machinery and handwork which in turn has been slower. Works began in September to avoid disruption in the busier summer months but unfortunately that meant some weather delays were inevitable.

The Town Council is aware of the inconvenience the path closures are causing to residents, particularly of Yokecliffe, and apologise for this.
