Hiring the Town Hall/Memorial Hall:

The Town Council has several rooms available for hire in both the Town Hall and the Memorial Hall.

At the Town Hall, the Main Hall is a large hall, suitable for a variety of uses – dance, exercise, large meeting space, wedding reception, family parties, musical events, etc, whilst other rooms in the Town Hall – Club Room, Ante Room, Council Chamber, are suited to smaller classes/groups. All rooms are available for hire during the day and evening, weekdays and weekends.

The Memorial Hall has a large hall available for hire during the evenings and at weekends. Current user groups include yoga, bingo. The hall is particularly suitable for smaller functions (ie children’s parties).

Please note that if you wish to have a licensed bar provided at a Town Hall function, this must be booked through the Hope & Anchor Inn (see conditions of hire) as the landlord holds the Premises Licence for the Town Hall. The Memorial Hall is not licensed for the sale of alcohol on the premises.

The Caretaker is responsible for maintaining the diary, and all bookings should be made through him.
